No. StickyNoteSync works immediately without any login or account setup. It uses your existing iCloud account for syncing across devices, ensuring your data stays truly private and under your control.

Where is my audio processed?

100% on your device. We use Apple's Neural Engine and advanced AI models to transcribe your voice locally. Your audio never touches any external servers.

How does syncing work?

Syncing is handled automatically via iCloud. As long as you are signed into the same Apple ID on your Mac, iPhone, and Apple Watch, your transcriptions will stay in perfect sync.

Is it really free?

Troubleshooting

Microphone Permission

If transcription isn't working, please ensure you've granted Microphone permission in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone. If it's still not working, try restarting the app.

Sync Issues

If notes aren't appearing on other devices, check that:

  • iCloud is enabled for StickyNoteSync in your Apple ID settings
  • You have a stable internet connection for the initial sync
  • You are signed into the same Apple ID on all devices
